Am I allowed to work in Germany?

Yes, with a Ukrainian passport you can obtain a residence title in Germany from the competent authorities. Your residence permit should then state: “Beschäftigung erlaubt” (Employment permitted) or “Erwerbstätigkeit erlaubt” (Gainful employment permitted).

Does socialbee also place people in permanent positions?

Our goal is always to bring you into a permanent employment relationship. To make it easy for companies to integrate you quickly, we use, among other things, the model of “temporary work” in a non-profit framework: You are employed by socialbee and paid by us, but work for a partner company. 

For you, this has the great advantage of being able to work faster and earn money directly.

Our long-term perspective is that the partner company will take you on as a permanent employee at the end of the contract period.

Which documents does socialbee need from me?

A short summary of your previous knowledge and experience via email is perfectly sufficient. 

Besides that we need:

What prior knowledge do I need to register with socialbee?

Our aim is to help as many people as possible, regardless of previous experience. For a job at socialbee you need above all:

  • German at A2 level (a certificate is not necessary)

Does socialbee also help with the apartment search?

Ja, mit einem ukrainischen Pass bekommst Du bei der zuständigen Behörde einen Aufenthaltstitel in Deutschland. In Deinem Aufenthaltstitel müsste dann stehen: „Beschäftigung erlaubt“ oder „Erwerbstätigkeit erlaubt“.

Wir von socialbee helfen Dir, eine Arbeit zu finden. Zum Beispiel als Assistent:in im Lager oder als Projektmanager:in in einem Büro. Zusammen finden wir eine Arbeitsstelle, die gut zu Dir und Deiner Qualifikation passt. Deine Qualifikation reicht aktuell noch nicht für Deinen Traum-Job aus?

With a holistic integration model, socialbee differs significantly from ordinary recruitment agencies. Our declared goal is the long-term integration of people at partner companies – and thus into the middle of society. To achieve this, we work with 1-year contracts and committed companies that agree to take on the refugees permanently if they perform well. In this way, the refugees we place do not become gap fillers for short-term capacity bottlenecks, but are given the opportunity to integrate into the workforce and the entire company in the long term.

socialbee mediates, qualifies and integrates refugees from all over the world to work in Germany in the long term. If you decide, also because of the war in Ukraine, to give refugees a chance to work with you, we are the right contact for you.

 

What labour market integration formats does socialbee work with?
  1. Direct recruitment:
    socialbee takes over the recruitment and preparation of suitable candidates and helps you to fill your vacancies with refugees. If necessary and if you need to fill a position quickly, we can also use the model of (social) temporary employment.

  2. Qualification projects:
    Together with a partner, we qualify refugees and integrate them into partner companies. Example: 20 participants are trained as project managers by qualification partners such as Agile Living (3 months basic training). 10 partner companies from different sectors hire 2 project managers each after the programme.
What costs do we incur?

In the case of direct placement according to the “ANÜ model” (= social temporary employment), a factor of 2.1 applies, i.e. for an hourly wage of e.g. €13 that we pay to the candidate, we invoice €27.30 to the company where the employee is placed.

In the case of a permanent position, which is expressly desired and required by us, we accompany the employee and the company as an integration partner.

This follow-up support is invoiced at € 695 per month. The integration programme lasts at least 12 months.

Pure employment without follow-up support is not possible due to our common goal of sustainable integration via socialbee.

Do you also only place Ukrainian refugees?

We offer our hand to all refugees who need support in making a new start on the German labour market. And we offer all refugees the same opportunity.

That means we select the right candidates for you according to motivation, skills and desired language level – but never according to origin!

While we naturally try to help all people who have had to flee the war in Ukraine, we do not support the targeted recruitment of Ukrainians only.

Why we think long-term. A thought experiment.

In a life-threatening emergency situation that results in flight to another country and an uncertain future, the search for a job becomes secondary for many people at first. 

Imagine: You have to flee overnight to another country whose language you most likely do not speak. You have left all your belongings behind. Only a few clothes, your mobile phone and a small part of your family accompany you on your hasty departure into the unknown. Every day you are worried about your loved ones – how are those who could not flee because, for example, they were not allowed to leave the country as conscripts?

You are exhausted, but finally safe.

Now you ask yourselves: When will this war end? Can we go back tomorrow – or never? Will we ever see our friends and relatives again? What now?

Why we think long-term. A thought experiment.

In a life-threatening emergency situation that results in flight to another country and an uncertain future, the search for a job becomes secondary for many people at first. 

Imagine: You have to flee overnight to another country whose language you most likely do not speak. You have left all your belongings behind. Only a few clothes, your mobile phone and a small part of your family accompany you on your hasty departure into the unknown. Every day you are worried about your loved ones – how are those who could not flee because, for example, they were not allowed to leave the country as conscripts?

You are exhausted, but finally safe.

Now you ask yourselves: When will this war end? Can we go back tomorrow – or never? Will we ever see our friends and relatives again? What now?
